Economic Development

Knittedsocks, LLC is a textile company producing yarn used in production of hosery. In its effort to modernize production equipment in the Heyall plant they worked with deparments in our country office. The upgrade was needed to prevent a relocation of the plant. This upgrade will enable the plant to remain competitive in the global market and not only retain current staff, but added 50 new positions that were filled locally.

Veteran Services

Approximately 4,170 veterans reside in the county and they are served by a part-time director who assisted them or their dependants with completion of forms or appeals to obtain services or benefits such as: Compensation and or pension to veterans and widows, $5,697,000.00 Education and Vocational Rehab, $188,000.00 Insurance and Indemnities, $108,000.00 Total federal benefits of $10,442,000.00 were provided to Heyall County Veterans and their families.
